Each year, we identify non-profit organizations devoted to entrepreneurship whose members will benefit from the Inc. 5000 community and it’s commitment to mentorship. This year, Inc. will be working to help two underserved groups: emerging entrepreneurs of color and military entrepreneurs.

Our  talented group of Inc. 5000 CEOs step up and pay it forward—devoting their time and smarts as well as sharing their personal journey—to provide one-on-one mentoring to each group.

Each mentee will be paired with up to three CEOs who do a deep dive on their aspiration origins and business vision to help focus their strategies and accelerate their next steps.

The morning will be dedicated to NFTE (Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship) and afternoon to MEP (Military Entrepreneur Program).

NFTE

Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) is a global educational nonprofit focused on bringing the power of entrepreneurship to youth in low-income communities. NFTE’s rigorous programs are taught by a highly trained Teacher Corps, and NFTE students are supported by a diverse Volunteer Corps drawn from the local community, including business leaders and entrepreneurs. Since its founding more than 30 years ago, NFTE has trained thousands of teachers and educated more than a million young people worldwide.

Military Entrepreneurs

In 2011, Inc. Magazine launched the Military Entrepreneurs Program to educate and mentor service members and their families about entrepreneurship. The program helps veterans, service members and their families start, grow and run their own businesses. This year an alumni of the program is number 6 on the Inc. 5000 list, Hunt a Killer.
