Martin is a co-founder of Pipcorn, a snack food company reimagining your favorite childhood snacks with better-for-you heirloom corn ingredients that are whole grain, gluten-free, and Non-GMO Project Verified. Following its founding in 2012, Pipcorn became a Shark Tank success story when it was backed by Barbara Corcoran in 2015, and has since been crowned as one of "Oprah’s Favorite Things" three times.

Martin has a background in social and human services, is self-taught in herbalism since the age of 14, and loves creative directing. She strives to use a multi-media approach to create deeper access to the community, social action, and joy. She is a founding member of the team behind Queer Soup Night, a national party on a mission to lift up queer chefs, build community, and raise funds for social justice organizations.

Martin was named one of the 2021 Inc. Female Founders 100, and one of Entrepreneur's 100 Powerful Women of 2020, alongside co-founder Teresa Tsou. She has also been featured on the Forbes 30 under 30, and was crowned as one of the queer Black Women Founders to Watch by Essence.
