John Sherwood serves as a talent strategy manager at JobsOhio, Ohio’s private economic development corporation. He currently leads JobsOhio’s Talent Acquisition Services for Intel’s historic investment in the state, helping develop strategies for a diverse, skilled, and sustainable workforce. He also helps manage JobsOhio’s strategic talent investments, assisting Ohio companies in JobsOhio’s 10 priority sectors through investments that increase talent pipelines. Prior to working at JobsOhio, Sherwood served in the Ohio governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation, where he led the DeWine-Husted administration’s programming focused on developing tech talent and efforts to improve data-sharing and technology assets for the benefit of Ohio’s companies, workers, and students. His background also includes several roles at Columbus State Community College in enrollment management, experiential learning, and customized training. Shewood has a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and an MBA from Ohio Dominican University.
